The 801
Membership Terms
Last updated: 10 October 2026 · Version: 1.0
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between you (the "member" or "applicant") and LR STATION 801 LLC, doing business as The 801, a private members' lounge at 801 S Chester Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201.
- Website: the801lr.com
- Phone: 501-387-1040
- Contact: by phone, on the number above
By submitting a membership application, and by using the lounge, you agree to these terms and to the House Rules referenced in section 9.
2. What a membership is
A membership at The 801 is a revocable, personal, non-transferable license to enter and use the lounge. It is not an ownership interest, not a share in the club, not a lease, and not a purchase of goods.
The 801 does not sell, serve or supply goods of any kind. Members bring their own personal property for their own use. The only thing a membership buys is access to the premises and its facilities.
Nothing in these terms guarantees the availability of any particular seat, room, table, screen, or area at any particular time.
3. Eligibility — 21 and over
- You must be at least 21 years old to apply, to hold a membership, and to enter the premises. There is no exception, and no junior, guest or family membership category that changes it. Guests are permitted under section 15, and the age rule applies to them too.
- Your application requires your date of birth. Giving a false date of birth voids the membership immediately, access is revoked, and dues already paid are forfeited.
- The lounge may ask to see photo ID to confirm your age.
- There is no other eligibility requirement. Approval remains at the lounge's discretion under section 4.
4. Applying, and how approval works
- You complete the application on the website, including your date of birth, and you provide card details.
- Nothing is charged when you apply. Your card is stored with our payment processor and authorized for future dues only.
- A person at The 801 reviews every application. Approval is not automatic and is not granted by the website.
- If you are approved, your membership begins and your first dues payment is charged on the date described in section 6. You are then issued access credentials under section 11.
- If you are declined, you are not charged, your membership does not begin, and your stored card is released.
The lounge may decline any application at its discretion and does not give a reason. A declined applicant may apply again; whether a later application is considered is also at the lounge's discretion.
Records of a declined application are kept for the period stated in section 5 of the Privacy Policy.
5. Dues
Dues are $65 per month, charged in advance, renewing automatically until cancelled. That is $50 of dues plus a $15 monthly maintenance charge, and it reaches your card as one charge, itemized as those two parts on your receipt.
Card and platform fees are added to the price (Stripe's 2.9% plus 30 cents and Stratos's 3%), so the amount charged is a little higher than the price. The table below shows both, and the right-hand column is what leaves your account.
Pay further in advance and you are billed for fewer months. Six months in advance is billed as five. Twelve months in advance is billed as ten.
| Paid in advance | Membership | Locker (section 7) | Both together | Charged to your card |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Month to month | $65 per month | $25 per month | $90 per month | $69.40 · locker alone $26.89 · both $95.97 |
| 6 months — billed as five | $325 | $125 | $450 | $345.70 · both $478.54 |
| 12 months — billed as ten | $650 | $250 | $900 | $691.08 · both $956.75 |
- Taking the locker on the same term as your dues costs less than adding it separately, because the card processor's fixed fee is charged once instead of twice. That is 32¢ a month, 32¢ on a six-month term and 33¢ on a twelve-month one. You are shown which you are paying before you confirm.
- Every term renews automatically on the same terms — monthly for monthly, every six months for a six-month term, every twelve for a twelve-month term — until you cancel.
- Dues are for access to the lounge. They are not a deposit, not credit, and are not applied to the purchase of anything.
- There is no initiation, application or enrollment fee.
- Dues are charged on the 1st of each month, whatever date you joined. Prepaid six- and twelve-month terms are anchored to the 1st the same way, so a term never ends part-way through a month.
- Your first charge is prorated. If you join mid-month you pay only for the days left in that month, and the full amount follows on the 1st. Section 6 works an example.
- You may switch between terms at the end of the period you have already paid for, not part-way through it. The new price and cycle start on the next renewal date.
No Arkansas sales tax is added to dues, the maintenance charge or the locker. The lounge has determined that none applies; if that ever changes you are told before it takes effect and the tax is shown as its own line at checkout rather than absorbed into the price.
6. When the first charge happens
Your first charge is taken on approval, not on application, and your membership begins when that charge succeeds. If it does not go through, you are not yet a member and no entry code is issued — you are in as soon as it clears.
The first charge is prorated to the days left in the month you join. After that, dues are charged on the 1st.
In a thirty-day month at $65, joining on the 8th is $49.83 of dues and a $53.28 charge; the 15th is $34.67 and $37.17; the 22nd is $19.50 and $21.05. You then pay the full amount on the 1st, and on the 1st of every month after that.
Renewals follow the cycle of the term you chose — monthly, every six months, or every twelve — until you cancel or the membership is terminated.
7. Lockers (optional)
- A locker is an optional add-on at $25 per month. Membership with a locker is $90 per month, charged at $95.97.
- A locker can be taken once you are approved. There is no waiting list and no availability gate. A locker is not part of the application and cannot be added from the member area: ask for one by calling the lounge on 501-387-1040, and the lounge adds it as a separate step.
- The locker number is assigned by the lounge when it adds the locker. You are told your number by email. Billing for the locker starts when your number is assigned, not when you ask for one, and a prepaid locker term runs from that date.
- A locker can be prepaid on the same rule as dues — six months billed as five at $125, twelve months billed as ten at $250 — or taken month to month at $25. Its term does not have to match your dues term.
- A locker is available only while your membership is active.
- A locker is space, not storage services. See section 12 for what that means.
8. What a membership entitles you to
An active membership entitles you to enter and use the lounge and its facilities during the access hours in section 10, including the indoor lounge areas, the outdoor patio, and the televised sports screens, together with a locker if you have taken that add-on.
It does not entitle you to any product, item, consumable or service, because none is sold or supplied. It does not entitle you to bring guests except as section 15 allows.
You may not use the premises for a commercial purpose, or hold a private event or a business meeting there, without the lounge's written permission. The lounge operates a separate event space on the same property for that purpose.
9. House Rules
The House Rules are part of these terms and are incorporated into them by reference. Each member is given the House Rules when their membership is approved.
Nothing is sold on the premises. Members and their guests bring their own items.
The lounge may change the House Rules at any time. Changes take effect when posted, and continued use of the lounge after they are posted is acceptance of them.
10. Access and hours
- Active members have 24/7 access to the lounge.
- The lounge may close, restrict or reduce access — for maintenance, a private event, a safety issue, weather, a utility failure, an order of a public authority, or any other operational reason. A temporary closure does not entitle you to a refund or a credit of dues unless the lounge chooses to give one.
- The lounge notifies a planned closure by email, and by text where you have opted in, as far ahead as it knows of it. No minimum notice period is guaranteed.
11. Access credentials
- Access is by keypad code. Until the lock is connected to the membership system, the lounge enters each code at the lock by hand. Credentials are issued only to active members.
- Your credentials are personal to you. Do not share your code, and do not let anyone else in on your credentials. Sharing access is grounds for immediate suspension or termination under section 16.
- Your entry code is sent to you by email. It is never sent by text. A text may tell you that a new code is waiting; it will not contain the code.
- The member area does not show your entry code. The email is the copy to rely on. If you lose it, call the lounge on 501-387-1040 and the lounge will send it again.
- The lounge may change access codes at any time, and will change or deactivate yours when a membership ends. You are responsible for using the current code you have been issued.
- Your access credentials are deactivated when your membership lapses, is suspended, or is terminated.
- No fingerprint, face or similar data is collected. Entry is by code.
12. Locker terms
- What is in your locker is yours. The 801 does not own, supply, inspect, catalogue, handle or take custody of the contents of any locker. You are a user of a locked space, not a customer of a storage business, and the lounge is not a bailee of what you put in it.
- Store only your own lawful property, for your own personal use, in quantities consistent with personal use. Nothing illegal, nothing perishable that will spoil, nothing hazardous, flammable, or that gives off an odour, and nothing that belongs to someone else.
- Nothing in a locker may be sold, traded, or transferred to another person on the premises. The 801 is not a place of sale and members may not make it one.
- The 801 is not liable for the contents of a locker — for loss, theft, damage, deterioration, spoilage, pests, temperature, humidity, fire, water, power failure, or the act of any other person. Insure your own property if you want it insured. The lounge carries no insurance on members' property and its insurance does not cover it.
- Access to a locker requires an active membership and an active locker add-on. When either ends, your right to use the locker ends.
- The lounge may open a locker without your consent where it reasonably believes there is an emergency, a safety or health issue, a legal requirement, or a breach of these terms, and where the 10 days under paragraph 7 have passed. When it does, The 801's administrators carry it out, the opening is recorded in writing, and you are notified at the email and phone number on your membership.
- Contents left behind. If your membership or locker add-on ends for any reason, you must empty the locker within 10 days after it ends. After that the contents are disposed of, or donated, at the lounge's election, with no liability to you and no obligation to compensate you.
- Locker keys and combinations. The lounge holds an override for every locker so that paragraphs 6 and 7 can be carried out. A lost key or a forgotten combination is replaced at your cost.
13. Billing, cards and failed payments
- Dues and the locker add-on are charged automatically to the card on file, by Stripe, our payment processor. LR STATION 801 LLC is the merchant of record; the charge on your statement shows as THE 801 LR.
- Keep a valid card on file. If a payment fails and your membership is in its grace period or has been suspended for a missed payment, the member portal lets you replace the card. At any other time, call the lounge on 501-387-1040.
- Once you are a member, a failed payment does not switch your access off that day. If a payment fails, the lounge retries it over a fixed retry window of 7 days, and contacts you each time it does.
- That window applies only once you have paid at least once. It is there for a card that expired or was replaced. If your first charge never succeeded you were never active, so there is no window and no access to suspend — see section 6.
- Your access is suspended when that retry window ends without a successful payment — not on the first decline. Update your card and pay within the window and nothing is interrupted.
- No late fee and no reinstatement fee applies.
- Dues may change. See section 20.
14. Cancellation and refunds
- You may cancel at any time from the member portal, or by calling the lounge on 501-387-1040.
- A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Your access — and your locker, if you have one — continues to that date and stops on it.
- Dues are non-refundable. Cancelling does not produce a refund, a pro-rated return, or a credit. What you keep is the access you have already paid for, to the end of that period, and nothing is returned.
- This applies to a prepaid term in the same way. A member on a six- or twelve-month term who cancels part-way through it keeps access to the end of that term and receives nothing back. The prepaid price is already the discount: six months billed as five, twelve billed as ten.
- On the date your access ends, your credentials are deactivated and you must empty your locker under section 12.7.
- Nothing in this section limits any right you have that cannot be waived under Arkansas law.
15. Guests
A member may bring up to two guests, and must accompany them.
- Accompanied means with you, in the room, the whole time. A guest may not use your access code, may not be let in on your behalf, and may not be on the premises without you.
- Guests are 21 and over, the same as members, and the same proof of age applies at the door.
- You are answerable for your guests' conduct as if it were your own — including the grounds for suspension in section 16, the damage you are responsible for under section 18, and the risk you accept on their behalf under section 17.
- The 801 may refuse entry to or remove any guest, and may limit or suspend guest privileges generally or for a particular member.
16. Suspension and termination
By the lounge, for cause. The 801 may suspend or terminate a membership, and deactivate access credentials, where a member:
- is under 21, or gave a false date of birth;
- shares access credentials or admits a person who is not an active member;
- breaches the House Rules or these terms;
- damages the premises or another member's property;
- behaves in a way that threatens, harasses or endangers another member, a guest, a neighbor or staff;
- does anything unlawful on the premises, or uses the premises for a commercial purpose without permission; or
- fails to pay dues.
On termination for cause, dues already paid are forfeited, access ends immediately, and section 12.7 applies to the locker.
By the lounge, without cause. The 801 may also end a membership without cause on notice to the email address on your membership. In that case only — because you did not choose to leave — the unused part of any period you have already paid for is returned to you. This is the only circumstance in which dues are returned.
No appeal. A decision to suspend or terminate is the lounge's to make and is final.
By you. You may end your membership at any time under section 14.
17. Assumption of risk
Read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.
- The 801 permits smoking indoors. By entering the premises you will be exposed to tobacco smoke and secondhand smoke, in enclosed areas, potentially at high concentration and for as long as you choose to stay.
- Secondhand smoke is known to be harmful. Exposure is associated with serious health effects, including heart disease, lung disease, stroke and cancer, and the risk is greater for people with existing heart or respiratory conditions and for people who are pregnant.
- You accept that risk voluntarily. You are 21 or over, you are choosing to enter a venue where smoking is permitted, you know what that means, and you assume the risk of exposure and of any resulting harm, for yourself and for any guest you bring.
- You are responsible for your own consumption of anything you bring onto the premises, and for your own condition and conduct while you are there, including your decision about whether to drive.
- The lounge is unstaffed, including overnight. You use the premises on that basis.
18. Personal property and the premises
- Bring your property at your own risk. The 801 is not responsible for loss of, theft of, or damage to anything a member or guest brings onto the premises, whether it is in a locker, on a table, or anywhere else.
- You are responsible for damage you or your guest causes to the premises, the furniture, the equipment or another person's property.
19. Limitation of liability and disclaimers
- The premises, the facilities and the membership are provided as is. The 801 makes no warranties, express or implied, about the premises, its availability, its condition, the door system, the website, or the member portal, to the fullest extent Arkansas law allows.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, The 801 is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, arising out of a membership or the use of the premises.
- Our total liability to you is limited to the dues you paid in the previous 12 months and, for an event, the amount you paid for that reservation.
- You indemnify The 801 against a claim brought by a person you admitted to the premises, and against loss or damage you or a person you admitted causes to the premises, to equipment, or to another person or their property. This indemnity goes no further than that.
- Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Arkansas law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law does not permit exclusion.
20. Changes to these terms
- The 801 may change these terms. The current version is always posted at https://the801lr.com/terms/ with the date it took effect.
- You are emailed at the address on your membership before a change takes effect, at the same time the new version is posted.
- A change in dues is notified separately and plainly, by email, before it takes effect. Your rate is held for any period you have already paid for, and a new price applies only from the renewal that follows the notice.
- Continued use of the lounge after a change takes effect is acceptance of the change. If you do not accept a change, your remedy is to cancel under section 14.
21. Governing law and venue
- These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of a membership, are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
- The state and federal courts located in Pulaski County, Arkansas have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these terms or a membership, and both parties consent to that venue.
- In any proceeding arising out of these terms, the prevailing party is entitled to recover its reasonable attorney's fees and costs.
22. Everything else
- Severability. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- No waiver. If the lounge does not enforce a term once, it has not given up the right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. Your membership is personal to you and cannot be sold, lent, assigned or transferred. The 801 may assign these terms to a successor of the business.
- Entire agreement. These terms, the House Rules, the Privacy Policy at https://the801lr.com/privacy/ and the consent you gave at enrollment are the whole agreement between you and The 801 about your membership.
- Notices. Formal notice to the lounge goes to LR STATION 801 LLC, 801 S Chester Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201, and may also be given by phone on the number on the site. Formal notice to you goes to the email address and postal address on your membership record. It is your responsibility to keep those current.
